Yiban helps parents play Go with children on a physical board. No registration is required. It does not collect a child's name, age, photographs, voice or assessment data.

What stays on your device

Moves, game variations, unfinished actions, results, preferences and limited diagnostics are stored in the app's private on-device storage. Core Go analysis and explanations run locally. Models and lessons are bundled with the app.

What you choose to share

You may generate diagnostics and choose a recipient in the system share sheet. The app does not automatically send reports to the developer. Other services handle any transfers you choose to make through them. Diagnostics contain no game records, move coordinates or children's names.

Retention and deletion

You can delete all local records from On-device data. This version has no accounts, cloud sync or full game import/export, and records are excluded from system backups. Deleting the app or losing the device means records cannot be recovered from the cloud.

Device permissions

Core features do not need camera, microphone, contacts or location access. Record moves manually without photographing the board.

This website

Vercel hosts yiban.app. Hosting processes IP addresses, requested URLs and browser information to deliver pages and protect the service. We have added no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs and set no tracking cookies. Classroom search runs locally in your browser and does not send us search terms. This website cannot read game records inside the app.
